Consultation - Lingfield Education Trust Admissions Policy 2026-27

We would welcome your views on the proposed admission arrangements. The proposed Admission Policy for 2026-27 can be found below.

Notification of the consultation is being communicated by the Trust to the following:

· The relevant Local Authority

· All parents and carers of pupils of the Trust

· Other persons who in the Trust’s opinion have an interest in the proposed admission arrangements

·

Transferring from another school

If you would like your child to transfer to Vane Road from another school, please contact Durham Local Authority Admissions Department first (03000 265 896).  They will be able to tell you whether or not we have places available in your child's year group.

If we do, the best advice is to make an appointment to visit the school either with or without your child.  You will have the opportunity to meet a senior member of staff, discuss your child's needs and have a look around the school.

You will need to fill in the 'In Year Transfer form' which is a formal application for a place at Vane Road.

Once a formal offer of a place has been made by the Local Authority final arrangements for a start date will be made.  At Vane Road we feel that it is preferable for a child to start on a natural break in school time, for example at the beginning of a new half term or new week.
